The origins of Sanskrit's roots in onomatopoeia set it apart from other languages. Due to their closeness in meaning and sound, these roots, which give rise to several words, generate new roots. Even though not all of the roots are addressed here, these two factors make onomatopoeia the main source of Sanskrit vocabulary. Many theories proposed to explain the origin of language lack sufficient evidence. The present study aims to fill the gap by providing evidence at least for a single language, Sanskrit. Words of this language are created from its roots (dhatus), which are verbs. How these roots got created, is however, not known. They are shown to be nothing but the sounds emitted while performing the action. This evidence may provide significant insight not only about the origin of Sanskrit language but the origin of language in general.Researchers that are looking into the history of language and sound symbolism will benefit from the study's fresh perspectives. It will also assist in providing fresh or accurate etymologies for Sanskrit words. Sanskrit will be the only language in the world where the genesis and growth from its source are visibly and transparently obvious, like a tree growing, as a result of the immense significance of this discovery.
