This study explores the concept of mindful learning and its potential to enhance students' mental health in India through the integration of yoga and mindfulness activities within educational settings. In recent years, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of mental well-being in education, with increasing evidence that practices such as yoga and mindfulness can effectively reduce stress, anxiety, and depression while improving focus, emotional regulation, and overall academic performance. The study examines how these practices, deeply rooted in Indian cultural traditions, can be adapted to modern educational contexts to address the mental health challenges faced by students. Through a review of theoretical frameworks and existing research, the paper highlights the benefits of mindful learning, including its role in fostering emotional resilience, enhancing cognitive function, and promoting a balanced approach to academic achievement. Furthermore, the study discusses the challenges of implementing such practices in Indian schools, including resistance from educators, logistical constraints, and the need for proper training and resources. It also identifies opportunities for expanding mindfulness and yoga programs in schools, supported by policy changes and technological advancements. The findings suggest that mindful learning can serve as an essential tool for holistic education, helping students manage the demands of modern life while nurturing their emotional, cognitive, and social development. The study concludes with practical recommendations for integrating mindful learning into the Indian educational system, emphasizing the need for collaboration among educators, policymakers, and mental health professionals.
